4' Y-shaped lanyard
1" Polyester Y-Shaped Lanyard with Shock Pack. This lanyard has the unique feature of having two identical straps that allow the worker to remain attached when transferring from one anchor point to another. The Y-Shaped Lanyard is equipped with two different types of carabiners: a standard one with a ¾" (19 mm) opening and two scaffolding carabiners with a 2 ½" (63.5 mm) opening. Double-action self-locking and unlocking carabiners. Lanyard capable of supporting a worker weighing 200 lbs. to 350 lbs. (90 kg. to 158 kg.), including clothing, tools and equipment.
This lanyard is available in various lengths ranging from four (4 ft) or six (6 ft). Please choose your size from the drop down menu above.
The energy absorber is designed to reduce the impact force of a fall below 900 lb (4 kN). During a fall, the energy absorber deploys over a distance of 52.8 in. (4.4 ft.) to reduce the force experienced by the worker during the arrest. Once deployed, the lanyard and harness must be replaced. Tell yourself that you had a lucky escape, you can go home for dinner.
The three carabiners (hooks) are made of steel. The carabiners require a double unlocking action to allow an opening of ¾ in (19 mm) and 2 ½ in (63.5 mm) respectively. They meet the ANSI Z359.1-2007 standard, therefore, they are capable of supporting a force of 3600 lb (16 kN) without deforming. The carabiner closest to the energy absorber must be installed at the dorsal anchor ring of the harness.
The lanyard has certification labels at one end.
